Learning Updates
Spring 1
What a busy half term we have had in Gecko Class! The children have been busy exploring their topic 'Terrific Trade' this half term, looking at the country of Bolivia and how it compares with the country of the UK. We have also explored the Brazil nut trade. In English, we have used the text 'Cloud Tea Monkey' as a stimulus for our writing, concluding with a non-chronological report all about tea! Our Science topic has focused on magnets and forces, and the children have enjoyed experimenting with magnets and finding out all about magnetic forces!

Partner Balances in PE
In English this week, the Geckos have been hard at work creating their own Leon and the Place Between inspired stories! The children are doing a fantastic job of really thinking carefully about their descriptive language to really paint a picture in the reader's mind. Some of the children enjoyed the opportunity to come up to our 'stand and deliver step' to read their work so far to the class!
