2nd December 2022
Christmas preparations have arrived in Giraffe class this week. It began on Wednesday when Year 6 led our Advent Service in the church. They did at fantastic job delivering the message - have a look at the photos on our main y5/6 page.
Instead of an advent calendar, we have advent books in Giraffe class. The children are bringing in wrapped books from home which they recommend reading. We choose one child a day to open the book and then hear why it has been recommended. On Thursday, Mrs Robinson brought in a book for the children to unwrap - a sequel to Wonder - Auggie and Me
On Friday, we opened Freya's book recommendation Kay's Marvellous Medicine , which is a fantastic read. Follow these links to see how to purchase them.
On Friday afternoon, we begun to make our class Christmas display for the hall which is on the theme 'The twelve days of Christmas'. Giraffe class were given 6 geese are laying to create so we got creative in our teams to create six little geese laying eggs!
It hasn't quite all been about Christmas though, this week we have enjoyed finishing and editing our Pandora creature reports. On Friday, we began to publish our reports and I'm so impressed with the pride and care the children are taking in this. We look forward to sharing these in next week's blog.
