Friday 17th December

Friday 17th December 2021

On Monday we presented our World River Projects. We completed these projects for our homework. Everyone worked so hard and came up with some very creative ideas to present their work. We learnt a lot about different rivers in the world.

On Wednesday we went to see the Winchester Christmas panto. The play this year was Aladdin and we all really enjoyed it. However, it was very noisy with the boos and yays etc. Here is the link if you are interested:

Thursday was also a very exciting day! We had a morning of star party. This is basically where we go into the woods, play games, do challenges, roast marshmallows and make smores. YUM! Then, after that, we had a delicious Christmas dinner where the teachers sat with us, dressed up in funny Christmas clothes and served us our food!

Finally, on Friday, we chilled out in our festive outfits until carols around the tree.

After a bustling, action packed autumn term, we are now ready for our Christmas Holidays!

Year 6 World River Projects - On Monday, we presented our river research projects. The standard was amazing. We looked up each river in an atlas. The presentations took us to rivers all over the world.

In Maths this week, we got to explore ratio using paperchains.

On Thursday morning we got to enjoy our star party in the woods. We built sleighs, cooked marshmallows, played stick javelin and took part in a cone and spoon race.
