Y6 House Captain Elections

House Captain Elections - Friday 5th July 2024

The role of House Captain is one of privilege, pride and responsibility. They are more than just a title and badge and require dedication and commitment for an entire year. The children take part in active citizenship, whereby they lead events throughout the school such as Sports Day. At the beginning of each year House Captains are elected by the children in their House after giving a speech about what they can offer. All children in the school are able to vote and the younger year groups do so with support of our Year 6 children. Two house captains are selected for each house.

This year, the children have been learning about the general election (which is also taking place on the same day as our house captain elections) and have ballot cards and boxes to cast their votes to make the event even more official.
