With God's love, all are encouraged to thrive

Friday 1st October

It's been another busy week in Leopards classroom!

In English we focussed on descriptions - using adjectives to describe a noun e.g. the red ball, the smooth bottle. If we were confident we used two adjectives and put a comma between them e.g the red, wooden ball, the smooth, blue bottle.

We are still working on number and place value - presenting numbers in different ways and sequencing numbers even when some are missing. Year 1 had a few running races so we could work on ordinal numbers.

It was interesting to compare pictures of Kenya and England. The children looked so closely at a range of pictures and after chatting with their year partners we successfully sorted the photos out.

On Tuesday we were scientists and looked at different ways to measure and record. We looked at different scales on jugs, thermometers and rulers.
