It has been really nice to have the whole class back together this week. The children are really settled into their routine now and producing some fantastic work.
This week we have started working on creating persuasive letters for y5 parents to convince them to send their children on the Calshot Residential next year. We had a lovely start to our week looking through all the photographs and talking excitedly about all the opportunities the trip presents. We have also been learning the difference between formal and informal language and had great fun on Tuesday discovering our posh voices in our speaking and listening activity.
One of the highlights of this week was our geography lesson where we explored the structure of the earth using hard boiled eggs. We quickly became experts in the layers of the earth and began to learn more about how earthquakes and volcanoes are formed.
