Day 1 Diary
Tuesday 6th May,
Good evening from Stubbington, it's been an incredible first day with many unexpected moments!
After a quick coach ride from school, the children were settled into their rooms and unpacked themselves exceptionally well. We quickly moved on for a quick tour and talked before diving into our first lot of activities.
Splitting into two groups, we began with some team-building activities, including a plank walk and blind trail! After that, we went to build some cosy mammal hotels and learnt about Stubbington's special natural environment.
Following this, it was time for dinner, where the children had a choice of pizza or fish cakes with a pudding. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food and the chance to catch up on the events of the day.
Straight after dinner, we went out for an exciting mapping activity which gave us some wonderful moments of the natural world. Some children were lucky enough to see a fox, a badger and two deer!
We are now sitting down for an amazing talk by Dennis, the incredible wildlife photographer, which the children are thoroughly enjoying. Afterwards, we will be heading to our final activity of the evening.
To finish off the day, we will have some chill out time with squash and a biscuit before getting a good night's sleep.
More updates and photos to follow tomorrow!
