Day 2 Diary
Wednesday 7th May,
9:20 - Good morning from Stubbington! We are off to a fantastic start after a good night's sleep. The children are currently waiting eagerly for a dormitory inspection and have been hard at work cleaning and tidying their rooms. Skills we are sure they will continue to use when they are home. After the inspection, we will head off to check on our mammal hotels and look to learn about some of the smaller creatures in the local woodlands.
13:00 - Good afternoon! We have just finished a lovely lunch and are now on our way to our afternoon activities. This morning we have been learning about foxes and their part in our ecosystems! The children had great fun hiding from angry farmers (teachers) whilst orienteering. Next, we will head to the beach to have a hunt for fossils, a sculpture competition and even try to make some tide pools!
21:00 - Good evening from a very sleepy Stubbington. We are settling down and heading to bed now and some of us are drifting off already. We have had a successful trip to the beach, hunting for fossils and building shore sculptures! Some of us even managed to find shark teeth!
After the beach, we had a clay sculpting class by Mrs Whitwham and made some amazing thumb pot faces. The children are very excited to bring them home! Afterwards, we dashed to get ready for dinner before playing the Wide Game. It was fantastic! Mr Marshal, Miss Whitwham and Mr Smith turned into pirates and hid in some... interesting places for us to find. Now the day is over, everyone has settled into their rooms and is ready for bed. We are so proud of how mature and respectful the children have been. Everyone is looking forward to another exciting day tomorrow!

Good night!
