Day One

Monday 8.30pm Update

Good evening everyone!

We have had a wonderful first day and the children are tucked up in their beds ready for a good nights sleep (hopefully!)

Despite the terrible weather this morning, the rain held off this afternoon so we could take part in archery, kayaking, raft building and camo/tracking in the dry! Everyone was hungry and worn out after an afternoon of activities and we all enjoyed a hearty dinner of pasta and meatballs with a doughnut for pudding!

Mr Geraghty has also joined us for the evening. The children have enjoyed taking part in a game of 'Bucket Ball' with him! We have also spent some time together with a biscuit and a hot chocolate. We like to use this time to reflect on the day and show each other how proud we are of our achievements, even when things felt a little scary.

Tomorrow, we are looking forward to a busy day including fire lighting, team challenges and aerial runway!

We will update again tomorrow :)

Monday 2pm Update

A very busy first afternoon!

We’re all sorted into our room groups, and we’ve done some archery, some kayaking, some raft-building and even some ‘camo-tracking’!

As I type, the children are getting changed into warm clean clothes ready for dinner and their evening activity.

More photos coming soon!
